Danish Scalloped Potatoes (Creamed Potatoes)

Potatoes are a very important ingredient in traditional Danish cooking. Try this recipe for Danish scalloped potatoes. The potatoes go well with any type of steak or roast (beef, pork, lamb, veal).   • 5-6 pounds potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 large onions - sliced
  • 1 bundle fresh rosemary
  • 4 crushed garlic gloves
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 30-35 ounces cream 35%
  • Peal the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.
  • Slice the onions
  • Place potatoes and onions in a ovenproof dish
  • Add cream, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper and stir lightly
  • Place in preheated oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hr.
  • Serve
