Northern Jutland Renaisssance Stately Home

While Voergaard Castle (Voergård Slot) is called a castle it truly is more of a stately home. The building is one of the finest and best preserved renaissance buildings in Scandinavia. Former Danish Prime Minister Erik Scavenius is buried on the property. Scavenius was Prime Minister during part of the German occupation in World War 2.
